ABOUT COCO HOUSE BROS:

Coco House Bros are a trio of house music DJ’s and producers with a lifelong passion for electronic dance music. The trio is made up of 2 males and a female with DR.E (Damon Enoka) well known for his mix of classic soulful funky house with a sprinkling of nu-disco, whilst ANTHOM (Ani Thompson) delivers the crowd pleasing vocal hits infused with a blend of tech and tropical house and Mark Zow (Marcus Niszow) rounding off the trio with a wide range of deep and tech house through to big room club bangers and the occasional drop of techno and melodic house when the vibe is right for it.

Coco House Bros originally kicked off in 2010 but had been in the making since 2003 from the very first day DR.E and Mark Zow connected in Rarotonga as like-minded DJ’s and producers with a lifelong passion and love for house music. The moniker Coco House Bros was perfect in describing where they come from, what they stand for and who they are. Coco House Bros hail from a tropical island littered with coconuts = Coco, they represent house music = House and they are platonic soulmates = Bros hence the name Coco House Bros.

From 2010 to 2012 they hosted the live radio show ‘Coco House Bros – Saturday Sessions’ on 88FM. Also they continued to create and establish regular club nights, ‘Rehab Ministry’ at Rehab nightclub in 2012. All the time while playing independent parties in New Zealand, Chile, Australia and Tahiti and other dream international locations. In August 2020, six months after the international borders into the Cook Islands were closed to the world due to the global pandemic, Coco House Bros conceived and debuted ‘Sunset Sessions’ on the island of Rarotonga. Taking advantage of the empty resorts to introduce the day club/party concept and exclusively playing a variety of house music as the unique point of difference compared to the traditional genres of music typically played and heard in nightclubs and bars of the Cook Islands.

Coco House Bros have created their own brand of groove driven and emotive house music that resonates with party goers of all ages and walks of life. Their masterful mixing in the booth and renowned DJ sets have rocked many top clubs, bars and radio airwaves not only in the Cook Islands but also around the world.

Ultimately Coco House Bros are born from a shared passion and love of house music. Similar too many other countries, in the Cook Islands house music has been considered an underground phenomenon with very few club and bar DJ’s or owners, brave enough to fully support the genre. This all changed when Coco House Bros decided to go all in and breakthrough to the wider audience and demographic. Their events and sets are 100% exclusively house music.

The evolution of Coco House Bros live performances and events over the past 10 years has helped created a much greater level of appreciation and respect for house music, across a wide audience ranging from young adult party goers right through to older crowds in the 60+ age group. In the Cook Islands it is not uncommon to see a young 20 something on the dance floor alongside a 70 year old mama singing and dancing out aloud to a remixed house classic of the Bee Gees or ABBA. This is the power of house music. It has no boundaries and brings people of all ages and walks of life together on the dance floor.
